Bio

Hi, I’m Kathryn

I’m a registered counselling therapist who believes therapy should feel like a genuine conversation — one built on curiosity and trust.

I spent over 21 years as a first responder and bring a unique blend of lived experience and professional training, shaping my down-to-earth, compassionate approach. I have witnessed first hand the profound impact of the unique challenges faced by those in the helping professions and the courage it takes to take the step to start therapy. This experience led me to pursue a career in mental wellness where I can now use this understanding to help others navigate the complexities of trauma and build resilience. I work collaboratively with you, blending tools from CBT, DBT, strengths-based practice, and humanistic theory to support whatever journey you’re on. Mindfulness is woven into much of what I do, helping you build awareness and resilience in your everyday life. I have had the opportunity to live in different parts of Canada and in each of these places, witness the tenacity of the human spirit, this has taught me to appreciate the many ways people find meaning and strength. Wherever you’re starting from, I’m here to meet you there.
